I know how precious second chances can be, and that's why I'm walking again ❤️

Hi, I’m Ru, and this July I’m putting my paws (well, three of them!) back to work for a cause that’s very close to my heart.

Two years ago, my human and I took part in this same walkathon and together we raised nearly $600 for charity. We spent the month walking, fundraising, and doing our small part to help children and families facing challenges much bigger than our own.

But on the very last day of that fundraiser, something unexpected happened. I was attacked by a much larger dog and suffered injuries so severe that I lost one of my legs.

My life changed forever that day.

Learning to walk, run, and play again on three legs wasn’t always easy. There were difficult days, and my human and I faced challenges we never imagined. But with love, care, and determination, I discovered that losing a leg didn’t mean losing my spirit.

Now, two years later, I’m back.

I may walk a little differently than I did before, but I am incredibly grateful to be here, enjoying life, adventures, cuddles, and the people who love me. And that gratitude is exactly why I want to do this again.

Because while I’ve faced my own challenges, there are children and families out there fighting battles every single day. Many are dealing with illness, hospital stays, uncertainty, and obstacles far greater than anything I have experienced. If I can use my story to help make even a small difference in their lives, then every step is worth taking.

This month, I’ll be walking as far as my three legs can carry me to raise money for this wonderful cause. Every donation, every message of support, and every shared step helps bring hope to those who need it most.

Thank you for supporting me on this journey. Thank you for believing that setbacks don’t have to stop us from helping others. And thank you for helping me turn my second chance into something meaningful.
