Alfie goes walking!!!
Alfie and I are walking for Sick Kids!
Alfie and I are taking part in PAWS for Sick Kids this July to support seriously ill and injured children and their families.
Ronald McDonald House particularly special to me following my families stay at RMH Canberra in May of 2016 during the most difficult time of our lives. My beautiful cousin Luigi Polimeni was involved in a sporting accident at age 15 which required him to be airlifted from Gundagai to Canberra hospital. During a heartbreaking few days, Ronald McDonald House Canberra alike Randwick was a place for our family and friends to come together, to support one another, to rest, to laugh, to cry and to reflect on what a wonderful life Lui lived. Lui devastatingly was never able to come home with us however, the ongoing love and support we received during and post our stay at Ronald McDonald House has been beyond what I expected . I have so much respect and gratitude for the volunteers, nurses, doctors and all involved for the incredible work they do to make families feel loved and welcomed in their absolute time of need.
Our story is just one of countless others that need and deserve access to these facilities where they will receive care and love during such difficult times. Please help me reach my goal to give back to this incredible cause, each and every dollar makes a significant difference.
On average, it costs $160 to support a sick child and their family for one night at the House so that families can stay for FREE and focus on what is most important, their sick child.
Thank you,
Rach xxxx
