Modelling contracts and kilometers

So here's the thing... I like my walks as much as the next dog, so when Erin suggested we put our steps toward a good cause, who was I to say no? We set a modest goal: one night’s accommodation and 62km.

The problem? My modelling skills in Dad's raincoat. Ralph Lauren called, they want to discuss contracts!

Thanks to that high-fashion moment, by the afternoon of day one, you had all generously helped us exceed our initial goal. As of Day 8, we’ve officially raised enough for three nights of accommodation!

Naturally, Erin suggested we raise our goals. She suggested more kilometers! My joints said, "Let's consult management." (Management is me, and I voted for a nap). So, we are capping the kilometers because, well, truthfully, I'm getting a little older. I am 11, you know, and a snow dog impersonating a farm dog needs his rest.

But just because my paws are capping the distance doesn't mean we can't smash the fundraising. We are raising the financial stakes: $620 for 62km! That’s exactly $10 for every single kilometer I track. It's a lot of steps to practise my runway walk for Fashion week.

70 mils of rain was no deterrent for Khan

For those of you joining me on this adventure, I’m Khan.

As a snow dog currently impersonating a farm dog, I’m no stranger to extreme weather. Personally, I’m not sure what Erin’s concern was about the single-digit temperatures and the ankle-deep puddles, but she insisted on us wearing raincoats to kick off our Paws for Sick Kids. 

Anyway, here is a photo of me wearing Dad’s raincoat... he says I made it smell like "dog." Unclear, but I’m choosing to take it as a compliment. Like when he tells Erin he likes her perfume. Eau de Wet Adventure is a vibe.

Erin might be worried about a little mud, but nothing is stopping us. This July,  we are walking a massive 62km to raise vital funds for brave kids who are facing much bigger battles than a few puddles.
