This July, we're walking for Sick Kids

This July, Huey and I are taking part in PAWS for Sick Kids to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.

In November 2017, our family was impacted by a horrific car accident caused by a moment of carelessness - another driver chose to look at their phone instead of the road. Oliver suffered the brunt of the impact. At only 14 weeks old, he was placed in a coma and fought for his life with a traumatic brain injury and spinal ligament damage.

During the darkest and most challenging time of our lives, Ronald McDonald House gave our family something priceless: the ability to stay together. Having a place close to the hospital meant we could focus entirely on Oliver and support one another, without the added stress of finding somewhere to stay.

No family should have to worry about where they'll sleep or how they'll stay close to their child while facing the unimaginable.

It costs an average of $160 to support a family for one night at Ronald McDonald House, allowing them to stay free of charge and be there for their sick or injured child. If Huey and I can raise enough to cover just one night's stay for another family, I will be incredibly grateful.
